A busy season is ahead for Hospice Mid-Northland, with community events, fundraising opportunities and sector learning all on the calendar.
These events help keep Hospice visible, bring people together and support free specialist palliative care for people across Mid-Northland.
Barfoot & Thompson House Tour
The Barfoot & Thompson House Tour will take place on Saturday, 5 September 2026.
Ticket holders will explore a curated collection of distinctive homes across Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands using a self-guided route and digital dashboard.
The day will finish at Marsden Winery with a complimentary glass of wine and nibbles.
Hospice Community Carnival
The Hospice Community Carnival returns on Thursday, 5 November 2026 after being postponed from April because of poor weather.
The event will include old-fashioned family fun, bargain Hospice stock, races, bouncy castles, face painting and raffles. A strong volunteer crew will be needed.
Blu Heelers Fishing Tournament
The Blu Heelers Fishing Tournament runs from 9 to 11 November 2026 in Paihia.
The tournament is open to everyone and has selected Hospice Mid-Northland as beneficiary for the second consecutive year.
Final venue, entry and presentation details are still to be confirmed.
Hospice New Zealand Conference
The Hospice New Zealand Conference follows in Hamilton from 19 to 20 November.
A small Hospice Mid-Northland contingent will attend, with Gareth presenting an abstract. Hannah may also present, subject to confirmation.
