Hospice Hazy: a local collaboration with a wider purpose

Hospice Hazy product campaign image for the PhatHouse Brewery Bar & Kitchen collaboration.

Hospice Hazy began with a belief that small local collaborations can create real community value.

Hospice Mid-Northland approached PhatHouse Brewery Bar & Kitchen because Rob, Caroline and the team had consistently supported Hospice whenever asked.

    More than a limited release

The idea was to create a limited-release beer that could raise a contribution from each can sold while also increasing awareness of Hospice and the work it does.

For PhatHouse Brewery Bar & Kitchen, the collaboration involved a genuine financial commitment and risk. The launch was a relaxed tasting event, and Hospice Hazy was warmly received.

The project is about more than the money raised from each can. It demonstrates how local businesses can support Hospice in practical and creative ways.

    Local support, wider purpose

Hospice care is provided at no direct cost to patients and whānau, and community support helps make that possible. Partnerships like Hospice Hazy keep Hospice visible and invite more people into the story.

Hospice Mid-Northland thanks Rob, Caroline, the brewer and the wider PhatHouse team.

Businesses and community groups interested in supporting Hospice Mid-Northland can explore fundraising and events, make a donation, or contact the team to talk through ideas.
