The kowhai memorial tree is a lasting reflection of love and friendship, providing a quiet contemplation area for all people who visit the property. The Kowhai is the official flower of Hospice. The design of this memorial area was inspired by the concept of being looked after which is the essence of the service that Hospice provides. As well as being a beautiful art piece, it is the symbolism that is meaningful. The Kohwai tree will flower with lasting memories and tributes.
The design done for free by Phil and Tracey Taylor from Xstream Profiles made our vision come to life and we are so grateful to them.
People can support the kowhai memorial wall, by buying a kowhai flower to engrave in memory or in honour of family members, friends and loved ones.. The purchase of this kowhai provides both a tangible and lasting memory and also helps to ensure that Hospice services can continue to be provided free of charge to the people in our community.
